Surfing Bad No.1: Fin Cuts (Foot)

First time out on my new board at Combesgate Beach I discovered my first 'Surfing Bad': Fin Cuts. Near the end of my ride I fell off and kicked the underneath of the board, hitting the fins with my right foot. I hadn't realised the leading edge of my FCS G5 fins were so sharp! They took a bit out of the top of my foot and a nice slice underneath my big toe. Here's a pic (I've coloured it so it doesn't look all gory or anything):

A little research has thrown up the fact that some people sand the edge slightly to take the sharpness off. I have left mine as they are for now but will be watching out for the little devils!
